Women Build brings women from all walks of life together to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and help families build a stronger future through homeownership. Since 1991, women have devoted their time, skills and energy to building safe, affordable homes and creating lasting change in communities.

Why Women Build Matters

For many women, achieving housing stability can be more difficult due to persistent economic and caregiving barriers. Women may face lower average wages, unequal caregiving responsibilities and greater challenges accessing affordable mortgages and quality housing.

Women Build provides an opportunity to help address these challenges—by bringing women together to build homes alongside families who are working toward homeownership. The impact goes far beyond the day on the build site. A safe, affordable home can provide families with greater stability, security and opportunity for years to come.
