CHICAGO (July 10, 2024) — Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago’s Lincoln Park and Oak Park offices, in conjunction with the Kindness Foundation, the company’s philanthropic arm, celebrated Community Kindness by participating in a Chicago area Habitat for Humanity build on June 28. During Community Kindness, REALTORS® and staff from the firm’s 22 offices select organizations to support with volunteer time and services.
Amanda Austin, managing broker of the Lincoln Park office, and John Lawrence, managing broker of the Oak Park office, congratulated the agents on the successful build day.
Austin said, “Volunteering with Habitat for Humanity during Community Kindness has become a tradition. The agents and staff who participate really enjoy building someone’s home which is such a good fit for us as residential real estate brokers who help people Move Confidently every day.”
Lawrence added, “We are proud of our group of 18 volunteers who spent the day framing, creating stair sections and fitting together scaffolding to access the second floor of the homes we were building. I’d like to thank Foundation Ambassadors Michelle Schroeder, David Zwarycz, Evelyn Humphries, Jeff Emerson and Renee Craig for organizing this event.”
